Music was stopped in Mali and Afghanistan. Musicians are killed in Pakistan, put on trial in Morocco, persecuted in Turkey and banned in many countries. Freemuse is the world's leading organisation advocating freedom of musical expression. In 2014 it won the "Award of Distinction" at the 2014 Prix Ars Electronica. Freemuse director Ole Reitov talks about why musicians are banned, persecuted and killed.
